Welcome to “The Beat”, your new go-to to keep up with all things JDR. We’ll try our best to keep it up every Sunday night and keep things brief so you can get the Down Low on all the Disco Ball Drama, from closed business days, blog updates, special events and classes and new songs!
This weekend we hosted a clinic for anyone interested in becoming a JDR Instructor. We are currently accepting applications online with a required video audition. All videos are due by Sunday, March 13th at 9pm.

The studio will be open for class Saturday, but closed on Sunday so that we can get our Continuing Education on. We promise to make it up to you! x
DON’T STOP <GET IT, GET IT>
Two months into 2016. You kicked off the year ready to crush it, but then the winter blues got you out of your routine and into full time leggings mode. Time to kick it into high gear and spring into this fabulous weather headed our way. JDR Owner and Head Instructor, Sara Bremer, has some tips on how to get your groove back.
JDR Instructor Update: Chelsea
Our girl Chels has had a rough few weeks. She had to sit out a few weeks while her new job in the OR got her schedule settled, then she was hit with a few health issues. We wanted to let everyone know she’s on the mend and sends her love. She’s going to take a few weeks to get her chickens in check (aka- her endurance back on track and health back to 100%) but you will see her in the studio taking classes and back on they schedule in the next few weeks!
Jam Of The Week: Black Betty
This week we rolled out a few new songs, but the one we’ve been jamming to the most is Black Betty by Xenia Ghali. This choreography came to us by some of our favorite Zumba presenters, Benjamin Richard & Rodrigo Angello. We fell in love with them at the Zumba Convention in 2015. They also choreographed Take U There, another class favorite.
Other new songs this week include:
Emergency by Icona Pop
Too Original by Major Lazer
Tranquila by J Balvin
