Welcome to “The Beat”, your go-to to keep up with all things JDR. We’ll try our best to keep it up every Sunday night and keep things brief so you can get the Down Low on all the Disco Ball Drama, from closed business days, blog updates, special events and classes and new songs!
JDR Spotlight: Suzanne May0-Glesner
This week’s JDR Spotlight on Suzanne proves this that. Read her story to find out how her classes at Just Dance Roanoke and Just Sweat™ Bootcamp helped her in training for her first half marathon!
Taking classes at JDR gives me confidence in what my body can do, and the fitness I have built there is what led me to decide to give the half-marathon a try.

New Gear, Sneak Peek
Spring is here and that means new gear is making it’s way to the JDR studio! We got a few new pieces this weekend, but there’s even more coming on Thursday and Friday.
We’re restocking your favorite off the shoulder sweatshirts and adding them in a hot new spring color!
Pop into class a little early and snag ya some hot new threads, you totally deserve it!

Jam of the Week: Kukere by Iyanya
We’re loving this Nigerian Afro Beat by Iyanya. We first saw it last summer at the Zumba Convention 2016 at Kass Martin’s master class performed by Zumba Jammer, Julian Diego. We fell in love with the song, because it’s so different than anything we’ve done at the studio in a while!
Kukere translates to “Don’t Worry”.
Other new songs this week include:
Quiero Bailar (All Through the Night) feat. Becky G by 3BallMTY
The Way (Spanglish Version) by Ariana Grande
